Do You Believe God Loves You?
We are made for love. Made to receive love. And made to love others. God is love and created the longing for love (more about that here) in us. When we draw on the love of God to fill our hearts, all the love from the relationships around us become overflow.
The love God offers brings security, peace and joy. Who doesn’t want that?
There is nothing that can separate us from His love. His love exists whether or not I believe it. It is, however, our unbelief that diminishes our ability to fully experience His love.
“Unbelief diminishes our ability to fully experience God’s love.”
See- it’s not enough to know He loves you. What I mean by that is this…knowledge of God’s love through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is not enough. You must believe it to receive new life. That goes for His love, too. Know he loves you, believe it and you will see a major shift in the life you live. His love will change the lens through which you view the world.
Here are 10 verses about God’s love for you. Hide these verses in your heart, drawing on them when you’re feeling unloved or unlovable. The truth is you’re loved more in a moment by God, than anyone on earth can love you in a lifetime!
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9
But you, LORD, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Psalm 86:15
Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:26
The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD. Romans 8:37-39
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:7-11
